Here are several things you can do right away!

- Through a community investment organization, you can lend your money, get it back, and change the world. Go to microplace.com and lend them $25.
- Write a snail-mail letter to your government -- clearly they need your opinions. The cost is insignificant, and you should be able to do it in five minutes. (Or an email!)
- Keep a zero balance on all credit cards and services (not so easy).
- This is hard for many people, including the people who work on this site.
- It's important because when you carry a zero balance every month, your financial life is more secure and the very worst of the financial industry cannot make money off you. This is two-fold sustainability, where you plug the leaks in your wallet and take wind from the sails of the companies causing the leaks. By the way, they are bad companies.
